George Washington was a great leader for many reasons. One of those reasons is that he was brave. One example of this is a battle in the Revolutionary War. The British army was advancing, and George Washington's men were retreating. Washington threw his hat on the ground, and said, "Are these the men I am supposed to fight this war with?!" He then rode out onto the battle field and challenged, "If I have to fight this war on my own, so be it!" He had to be dragged off the battle field.
Another reason George Washington was a good leader, was that he was inspiring. An example of this is the battle of Trenton. George Washington was able to inspire 800 men to fight 1200 Hessians, who were the best soldiers in the world.
The last thing that made George Washington a good leader was that he worked alongside his men. He helped them build their huts in Valley Forge. He was at the front lines in many of the battles. People actually considered him "wreckless" with his life.

George Washington is really cool. He is probably one of the most humble and most inspiring presidents that we've had in a long time.
It's cool that you see him as one of your great leaders.

Great comments Josh. Keep up the good work. George Washington was a wonderful man, but learning about the life he lived is not enough. As you live the way he did you emulate him from what you have learned about him. I know you can and I know you will. By doing so you become like every great individual - past, present, and future. They are all linked by greatness because they learn from each other and teach one another. Keep it up my friend. You're doing a great job.
Josh, I really liked your story about George Washingtons Leadership. I thought it was awesome and I think he was a great leader too. Come to my blog and you'll learn about my Hero.

Josh, I like the way you wrote the leadership characteristics of George Washington, and then backed them up with stories. This was a great paper!
