We went to Bear Lake this weekend so that my mom could do a triathlon. She had to swim 1mile, bike 26 miles, and run 6.2 miles.
While she was swimming, the waves were so big that she felt like she wasn't moving. And the water was absolutly freezing!
After Mom's triathlon, we went swimming in the lake and found another reason Mom felt like she wasn't moving. I was so numb I couldn't even tell if my arms were pulling me through the water or not.
Mom said her wetsuit helped keep her warm, but unfortunatly, Ididn't have one. I felt like I was an ice cube in the Arctic ocean!

I really admire your mom for doing such a hard thing. I hope to be able to do something like that someday.

Your mom is amazing! I'm glad she had a wetsuit. Swimming that far in freezing water could be dangerous, right?

Your mom is amazing and inspiring. Swimming is hard work. We went to Lake Powell and I was scared because there were lots of fish and they were biting us when we were swimming but I still jumped in.

What time of year? Because if you go to early is like that and if you go to late is like that as well; but I’ve be there in the middle of July and it was freezing.
