Today in church I preformed a variation solo of the hymn,"Precious Savior, Dear Redeemer" on the piano. As I was passing the sacrament before the performance, I had so many butterflies in my stomach that I almost dropped the tray of bread I was holding. Even while I was playing, I was so nervous that my leg was shaking on the pedal of the piano. I was relieved when the song was over. Even though the song is only about three minutes, I felt as though I had been playing for three hours. Sister Jensen, our ward's chorister, wants me to play another song in the future sometime.
OH NO!

Josh,
You did a great job today, playing in sacrament meeting. I know it was hard to do, and I was proud of you.
Mom
This exact thing happened to me when I was playing in a piano competition in high school. My leg started to freak out. I had to block it out of my mind so I could finish my piece. It is amazing what the brain tells our body to do when we are nervous.
Keep using your talents and it will get easier.
Sister Meeks
It sounds like you were really nervous. But not as bad as a kid in my ward did. He dropped the water tray in sacrament on someones lap.
